1. Fill in the Schengen visa application form on the Internet.

2. Gather supporting visa documents including passport, proof of accommodation, financial evidence, medical insurance, flight reservation, etc.

3. Take photographs and fingerprints at the consulate.

4. Pay the visa fee. This is non-refundable even if the visa is rejected.

5. Go for an interview at the consulate if you are needed to do so.

6. Wait for processing. In most cases, a decision is made within fifteen calendar days.

7. If approved – Come for the passport containing the Visa from the consulate. Ensure that specific information is correct.

Visa Extension In Spain

It is important to note that tourists cannot increase their allowed stay from 90 days with the Schengen visa. You will have to exit the Schengen area after the duration of your stay in the Schengen zone. Staying in Spain for more than 90 consecutive days, one is supposed to apply for a National visa (type D visa) or residence permit. Ask an immigration attorney about the requirements for entry into the country.
