Day 1 in Doha

Exploring the Vibrancy of the City in Architectural Structures

Arriving in Doha, start your first day in Souq Waqif, an ancient Bedouin market located along the Corniche. Wander over the network of stores providing touristic goods like local clothes, spices, pottery, and other mementos. Take a pause and have a true Qatari breakfast at one of the neighborhood cafés, maybe machboos — rice cooked with spices and meat.

Then see the Museum of Islamic Art, constructed under the direction of the internationally famous architect I.M. Pei. One of the biggest collections of Islamic art including those from Africa, the Middle East, and Asia over the last 1400 years is in this thorough museum. Spend some hours appreciating the beauty and details of ceramics, metals, jewels, and textiles among other things. Take a walk outside stand by the water and take some pictures of the Doha skyline in the background.

In the afternoon, it will be possible to visit Katara Cultural Village, a place that is referred to as an open-air culture center in Doha. This walkway is surrounded by art galleries, theatres, mosques, restaurants, and shops, and passes along the waterfront. Watch a musical or theater show at Katara and then enjoy dinner at one of the many world-class international restaurants such as the Turkish or Moroccan theme restaurants. After dinner, head on to the Tower located at Katara for the observation deck that offers breathtaking views of the city.

Day 2 in Doha

Discovering the works of nature and the architecture of the cities

Take your second morning easy at the Aspire Park-Doha, which is one of the largest parks in the city extending to nearly one million square feet. For children, it is possible to pack a picnic meal and rent bicycles so that they can ride through the open grassy space, tennis courts, the lake, and play areas. This one is perfect for an authentic cultural experience because local families come here over the weekend.

Second, continue for 30 30-minute drive north of Doha to Khor Al Adaid, an inland sea that has it features dunes merging with the sea. Often referred to as the ‘Sea within the land’ of Qatar, one can go on an exciting dune bashing, quad biking, or camel riding for an adventurous afternoon. Enjoy the sunset by the water reflecting in the water for the most splendid and marvelous sight.

In the evening go to Doha Corniche, the beautiful lights will make you see the new face of the city. The picturesque 7 km long waterfront promenade boasts an elegant Aspire Tower in the form of a torch. Savor a shisha at a lounge or cafe and while enjoying the cool breeze, observe the residents and tourists strolling along the Corniche.

Day 3 in Doha

Close to Doha, there is one of the top destinations worth visiting – the Al Galail Falconry Festival. Organized during the winter, the event is designed to promote the cultural practice of falcon hunting among Qatar citizens. Watch trained falcons in hunting practice and also watch falcon racing. Kids will never get bored in the Kidz-friendly festival which features many artisans’ shops, camel riding, local food, and even archery.

Then, move to Katara Cultural Village and check out the facilities in the newly designed Qatar National Museum that will be launched in 2025. The seven spherical structures that will be located amidst water and plants, which were designed by Pritzker Prize winner Jean Nouvel, will tell a story of Qatar’s geological history, nomadic heritage, and rapid growth of a desert oasis into a state of art. Petrographic: There will be galleries that capture the accomplishments of the petroleum industry, Islamic art as well as the pearling industry in Qatar during the 18th to early 20th century.

On the last day, you should go to Aspire Tower also named Torch Doha in the evening to enjoy beautiful views from the top of the tower where the viewing platform is 300 meters high. As the sun sets observe the skyline of the city including the tall buildings, the coastline, and the West Bay district as they turn into beacons of light as you end your 3 days in Doha.
