Paris is among those cities that are considered to be attractive globally. It is a city of lights that boasts of great architectural features beautiful neighborhoods, and a couple of romantic cities in the world. Since I visit Paris quite often myself, I thought I’d briefly review some of the places I adore most because they reveal the unique character of the city. Here are my top 10 most beautiful places in Paris: Here are my top 10 most beautiful places in Paris:
1. Eiffel Tower
Another can’t-miss beauty spot is the Eiffel Tower which cannot be left out in any list of lovely Paris places. Erected for the 1889 World’s Fair this structure has become the identity of Paris – the Eiffel Tower. The breeze up there is great and you can see the whole city laid out below you for you to have a good look at. It is best to go at dusk since you will get to see the tower being lit with thousands of golden Lights.
2. Luxembourg Gardens
These remarkable gardens are as old as 1612 and were founded by the wife of King Henri IV, Marie de Medici. Today, the park contains more than 100 statues and fountains, beautiful and well-trimmed lawns, metal deck chairs that visitors can sit on, and a replica of the Eiffel Tower which is a miniature that children can play on. On a beautiful day, there are lovers eating sandwiches and children delighting themselves by moving boats across a large artificial pond at the center of the park.
3. Sacré-Cœur Basilica
Overlooking the city is the spire of the crowning feature of Paris, the Sacré-Cœur Basilica with its white domes. Due to its elevation in Montmartre, everyone in the city can view the church, even without the help of binoculars. Stroll along the twisted steep alleys full of cafés, restaurants, and street art and you will reach the top where you get a stunning view of the whole of Paris. The architecture of the basilica is very elaborate and 걸 disagrees very well with the skyline of the city.
4. Another name for the river Seine is w/a the Bridges
It would be difficult to conceive of Paris without this pretty winding stream that flows right through the middle of the city. It is also possible to walk or ride a bike along the terraces that border the pedestrian roads along the river. Sometimes it will be appropriate to take a break and capture views such as the slim houseboats tied in the channels or the Notre Dame Cathedral situated on an island within the river. Some bridges are exceptionally striking – the Belle Époque-styled Pont Alexandre III or the love lock-adorned Pont des Arts.
5. Tuileries Garden
These magnificent and extensive gardens, which are located between the Louvre and the Place de la Concorde, give travelers a chance to catch a breath surrounded by greenery. Tidy lawns with low hedges and neatly tended flower gardens provide broad walkways for strolling by ornate fountains and sculptures. Lounge on a green metal chair that is placed on the lawn find a good spot to sit and watch the distant view of the Eiffel Tower over the trees you can see the arch of triumph in the background. Take a break to enjoy kids entertaining themselves at the pond using the toys that operate with remote control.
6. Palais Garnier Opera House
Whether you plan on watching a ballet or opera performance, it is worth visiting this neo-baroque opera house to admire the baroque-style interior or the outside look of the building. Outside, one can find awe-inspiring columns, two-story-high glass doors, and magnificent exterior ornamentation, while inside, visitors are met with gilded chandeliers, red velvet seats, soaring ceiling murals, and an impressive staircase. Aside from columns, ornaments, and busts of bronze, sculpture never looks to be unimpressive. Visit during guided tours or ensure you visit during the band performances.
7. Jardin des Tuileries
These formal gardens situated next to the Louvre are a magnificent example of green space which is used to provide a pleasant area for the residents and guests of Paris. The area contains many benches and large gravel paved paths with various sculptures and fountains placed on the territory. Come in early summer to see miles of colors of flowers or any time of the year simply to have a glimpse of what it feels like to have a moment of ZEN admiring beautiful landscape designs.
8. Champs-Élysées
The Avenue des Champs-Élysées is an extraordinary avenue and should be on any list of some of the best places in Paris. This famous wide boulevard; is 1.2 miles long connecting Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe, with the manicured trees planted on the sides of the walkway in a perfectly aligned manner. Large shop windows of high fashion stores invite the passerby, as do warm café terraces. Still even if one walks on the Champs Elysees back and forth one time more, it seems that one has never seen such beauty.
9. Notre Dame Cathedral
These effects are still apparent in Notre Dame Cathedral, which is still in the process of restoration from the fire that ravaged it in 2019. Look at its vaults and arches, the colorful stained glass windows, intricate sculptures carved on the exteriors, and the fearless stone carvings of the gargoyles adorning the buildings that are guarding the city. It might be impossible to visit the castle interiors at the moment but the great Gothic structure still rises majestically on the island in the middle of the Seine.
10. Jardin du Palais Royal
This hidden garden is situated almost next to the world’s renowned Louvre museum; it contains well-trimmed trees, beautiful fountains, and a range of straight-arranged pillars. Tourists enjoy strolling and admiring the scenic beauty of the palace grounds without spending much time. Spare some time to walk around and probably admire or window-shop at the luxury shops that line the covered walkways around the garden. Take your sandwich to go and eat it while sitting in one of the many cafes that Paris boasts of and marvel at some of Paris’s best landscape designs.
Paris remains a place that captures the hearts of everyone lucky enough to see at least one or another corner of Paris, which is also called the City of Lights, this list includes all the famous places and several not very popular, but no less fascinating places. Which place out of the beautiful ones mentioned here would you like to visit or revisit? May the beauty of the city of lights entice you to discover all the wonders this wonderful place has for those fortunate enough to travel here.
