Paracombe Premium Perry is the initiative of Damian McArdle which started in 2012 and they are 4th generation pear growers and 1st generation Perry Makers. They source their award winning pears from their family orchard, Chamberlain Orchards in South Australia. Their Perry process is unique with minimal human interaction. You will find a variety of Perry’s such as sweet perry, dry perry, semi-dry perry, and many original ciders. They also offer a ‘Tree Experience’ where you can go behind the scenes of perry production, taste different products or even become a pear grower for a day. The orchard is a scenic 40- minute drive from Adelaide. This 50 acre property is Australian farming at its best. You can lunch among pear trees, relax at their shed door or experience their super Saturday menu. If you opt for the pear growing experience, you can enjoy picking pears, thinning, pruning, grading, and even blending perry. You will get a look into their cold rooms, refrigeration, and detailed cider making process. The shed door is a great place to relax and unwind with spectacular orchard views, a drink list, and food from authentic wood ovens. The Roman Revival inspired design of the church introduced a new type of ecclesiastical architecture to Parkside with its limestone building.
