Waterfall Gully

Waterfall Gully

Waterfall Gully is located in Cleland National Park and is about 8km east of Adelaide. It is a popular area in South Australia for treks and trails. It is a 1-hour drive and crowded on the weekends. There is a 300m return trail to the 30m high first falls and back. It is about 1.6km to cover the first and second falls and takes about an hour to complete. There are other shorter tracks along First Creek that are great for bushwalking and have different vantage points of the waterfall. The Cleland National Park is a great way to connect with nature and features several walking trails. There is a challenging hike to Mt Lofty Summit from Waterfall Gully that passes steep hills and stringy back forests. This is a well marked track with a few smaller waterfalls on the way. It is a 7.5km return trek and takes about 3 hours or more as the hike includes some steep sections. You can view many species of plants, eucalyptus bushland and native vegetation and enjoy stunning views across Adelaide. Read More
