Padmapuram Gardens
The Padmapuram Gardens is known to be a favourite spot among many tourists who visit Araku Valley. Boasting variety of species of flora, the garden is home to an exquisite rose garden, treetop huts and a fun toy train for rides around it.
The garden was built to supply food and vegetables to soldiers of World War II in 1942 in a plot of 26 acres and later on, converted into a horticulture nursery with a training centre. The range of flower species and trees is a visual feast, which can be enjoyed even more if one decides to stay in one of the hanging cottages ten feet above the ground.

Araku Tribal Museum
Opened in 1996 by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, the Araku Tribal Museum depicts the tribal culture of Andhra Pradesh. From utensils, jewellery, hunting tools to wedding photographs, the museum gives a taste of what traditional tribal lives look like.
Located at a distance of just 200 metres from the Araku bus station, the museum is not historical but has been constructed to enlighten people about the tribal way of life, with the display of the lifestyle of about 19 tribes living in the vicinity. While tribal artworks adorn the walls, local Mayur and Dhimsa dances are exhibited at one of the sections on the museum.Interestingly, the museum is home to a fortune teller with a parrot who speaks only the local language and whose predictions are believed to have been right. One can also go boating in the pond nearby or relax by cycling around the museum. The two-storied building is an excellent place to get souvenirs; the money for which goes to the locals as one of their sources of employment.

Bhavanasi Lake
Considered to be a holy lake of Ananthagiri, Bhavanasi Lake originates from Nallamala Hills. Located in the middle of greenery, the spectacular Bhavanasini lake is situated on the route of Ahobilam.

Lord Anantha Padmanabha Temple
A most popular temple in the town, Lord Anantha Padmanabha Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, in form of Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swami. Within the Ananthagiri temple premises, an idol of Lord Vishnu can be seen situated on Anantha, the snake floating on the cosmic waters in Viakunta.
An idol of Goddess Lakshmi can also be seen lying besides Lord Vishnu. As per the legend, this temple is said to be built by Rishi Markandeya in Dwapara Yuga. It is believed that Anantha Padmanabha meditated for 400 years to worship Lord Vishnu. Lord finally appeared in the cave where the sage meditated in form of Shali Gram. To worship Lord Vishnu, Devotees have to enter the cave in between 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Musi River is a tributary of Krishna River in the Deccan Plateau. It was known as Muchukunda River in earlier days. The river originates in Ananthagiri Hills near Vikarabad. It rises in the Ananthagiri hill in Ranga Reddy district and flows into the Krishna at Vedapally in Nalgonda district. Until the early decades of the 20th century, the Musi River was the cause of flood devastation in Hyderabad. On 28 September 1908, Musi River was the reason for the devastating floods in Hyderabad.
