The residential zone, forming a majority of the area, is a testament to sustainable living. It includes homes built with natural and recycled materials, demonstrating an ecological approach to architecture. The cultural zone is a hub of creativity, showcasing amphitheaters, art galleries, and studios, encouraging artistic and cultural pursuits. The international zone is designed to represent the unity of nations, with pavilions for different countries. The industrial zone focuses on eco-friendly industries and research facilities, emphasizing Auroville's commitment to sustainable development.
