Brahma Vihara Arama, frequently regarded as Bali's largest Buddhist friary, is located in the serene hills of Banjar Tegeha village. Known for its graphic setting, it presents a harmonious mix of Theravada and Mahayana Buddhist traditions. The Tabernacle complex features a series of intricately designed structures, contemplation apartments, and beautifully landscaped auditoriums, making it a spiritual haven for callers and interpreters alike.

Located about 20 km from Singaraja in Banjar, Buleleng, Brahma Vihara is a Buddhist friary featuring libraries, mini auditoriums, and contemplation apartments. Lined with pine trees and flower auditoriums, the complex is notorious for its replica of Borobudur. Some of the apartments have Gautama Buddha's trials depicted on their walls, and the complex exudes an air of serenity and peace.

Brahma Vihara Arama, also known as Banjar Buddhist Temple, was opened in 1970 and is the largest friary in Bali. It covers a hectare of hillside and is considered a mini replica of the largest Buddhist archaeological point, Borobudur. As told by Hindu, Balinese, as well as Nepalese culture and armature, Brahma Vihara Arama is one of the holiest places of Buddhist passage, which takes place on the holy day of Vesak, or Asada.

The name "Brahma Vihara Arama" translates to the words "a place for tone-based civilization,'' pertaining to tone-trainingpeace, and glory, forging noble gestures, and this friary holds great significance for Buddhists as well as Hindus in Bali. The main structuresuggesting a Thai Buddhist tabernacle, houses an emotional golden Buddha statue.
