The temple's armature is a splendid illustration of Balinese temple design, characterized by its split gateways, gravestone busts, and traditional pavilions. The centerpiece, the' Moon of Pejeng', is boxed in a pavilion and deified for its artistic and literal value. Visitors are required to wear modest apparel covering their shoulders and knees. Sarongs and self-belts can be rented at the entrance. Photography is allowed, but it's advised to respect the sanctity of the temple and avoid flash photography. There is a small entrance fee for visitors, which goes towards the maintenance of the temple. Pura Penataran Sasih is located in Pejeng village, near Ubud in Bali. It can be penetrated via hack or rental scooter from Ubud. Public transportation options are limited, so hiring a private vehicle is recommended for convenience.
