Bali Sea Turtle Society (BSTS)
The Bali Sea Turtle Society is a non-profit organization that works for the conservation of sea turtles in Bali. Visitors can pay a small fee for the release of a turtle back into the sea, doing their bit to be mindful of Bali's environmental concerns. Mainly operating out of Kuta beach, the best time to visit is from April to October.
The Bali Sea Turtle Society is one of the more responsible turtle hatcheries and conservation groups in Bali. It works along with the local community, training them to protect sea turtles through ‘Community Based Conservation’ programs. The Bali Sea Turtle Society was founded in 2001 and aims to raise public awareness regarding the protection of the endangered sea turtles and their habitat. Located at Denpasar, Bali, the Bali Wake Park is one of the top attractions at Bali. It is a park where millions of tourists come with their family and friends to have a fun time. The best time to visit the park is the Mornings where it is less crowded, where there is also slow speed sessions available on Wednesdays and Sundays from 9am to 11am. The age limit is 6 years for the water activities. Few good places to stay at is the Jln Merta Sari Sanur, Gardenia or Marigold, however there are many more good hotels and restaurants available in and around the place.
