Wat Rakhang, known as the Temple of the Bells, is a major Buddhist temple located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. It dates back to the Ayutthaya period and is famed for its ancient bells, beautiful showpieces, and traditional Thai armature. This tabernacle is an important artistic and religious point in Thailand. The armature of Wat Rakhang is a fine illustration of Thai Buddhist art. The temple features a grand Ubosot( ordination hall), a five-tiered bell palace, and intricately designed chedis( stupas). The interior walls are adorned with stunning showpieces depicting scenes from Buddhist tradition, adding to the temple's spiritual air. Wat Rakhang is accessible by colourful modes of transportation. The most accessible way is by boat, taking the Chao Phraya Express Boat to Wang Lang Pier( N10), followed by a short walk to the temple. Alternately, callers can take a hack or tuk-tuk directly to the temples. The nearby Arun Ammarin Road also provides good access for those preferring to travel by machine.
