Beginning from Bir, the Raj Gundha Trek is a 14-km challenging trek set in Kangra region’s Raj Gundha valley. It is best known for the spectacular view of milky way on a clear night.
Taking trekkers up to an altitude of 9,200 feet from where they can marvel at the majestic snow-clad Dhauladhar ranges and the green valleys, the trail passes through Barot village and forests and runs close to a river. The greenery and the chance to encounter leopards, jackals and bears make for an exciting nature-watching experience. Alpine camps are set up at the Raj Gundha campsite and trekkers get to enjoy meals in front of a bonfire while enjoying calm music.
