The structure stood approximately 45 meters tall and was adorned with sculptural reliefs created by the most talented artists of the time.

Architecture of Mausoleum at Halicarnassus

The architecture of the Mausoleum was a unique blend of Greek, Egyptian, and Lycian styles and influences. It was constructed on a large podium and surrounded by a courtyard. The base of the monument featured a processional frieze and was topped by a series of 36 Ionic columns.
