The Baths is a compilation of sky-high boulders and distinctive rock formation that forms part of a national park and one of the popular tourist attractions. These rocks are leftover of volcanic lava dating back to around 70 million years ago forming a string of caves and grottoes that are filled with seawater. The place also serves as an ideal spot for swimming and snorkelling; however, a trail through the 'Caves' to Devil's Bay is the salient point of the Baths. While this 20-minute trek, you will climb the boulders, splash through tidal pools, pass via impossibly narrow passages and then finally reach a sandy beach.
Flaunting remarkable sights to behold, the place is usually flocked with tourist. Thus, the best time to visit the Baths is either at sunrise or late in the afternoon when you will get a lot more elbow room. The beach here has bathrooms with showers, snorkel-gear rental (USD10) and a snack shack. Taxis are easily available that ply constantly between the park and ferry dock.
