Agro Technology Park in MARDI is a government-owned agro research centre and institute which also doubles up a tourist destination. Located at Tanah Rata, it is famous for its cultivation of tropical fruits and is a very interesting place for those who want to try something new in terms of food and also learn about Malaysian agriculture. Spread over 42 hectares, Agro Technology Park in MARDI was first opened in 1990 and is run and managed by the government only. It is famous for its more than 4000 varieties of flowers and fruits like strawberries, etc. some of which are indigenous to the place itself. The Agro Technology Park offers tourists with a Fruit Farm Tour which is fully guided by the expert.
