Afrikaans Language Monument
The Afrikaans Language Monument was built to celebrate the history of the Afrikaans language. It is located in the picturesque region of Paarl in the Western Cape province. The uniquely constructed monument is famous for its convex and concave structures portraying the influence of different languages and cultures on Afrikaans through the decades.
Visitors can see the influence of different cultures like Western European culture, Malay culture, KhoiKhoi language, and many others through the tall obelisk-style columns reflecting history. Afrikaans is the language used by southern Africa, and it came into existence due to the Protestant settlers during the 17th century. Inside the monument is a 57 meters high column that symbolizes the growth of Afrikaans. The monument complex has a hiking trail leading to a large amphitheatre. Replicating the beauty of nature, a miniature version of the Paarl mountain is created in the middle of the site. It also houses the Green Gallery, an open gallery depicting and supporting the works of Jan Van.

Boulders Penguin Colony
Boulders Penguin Colony, located on Boulders beach, is a nature reserve home to a colony of 3000 African penguins. It is the only place where you can see the penguins closely. The best time is during the breeding season, from March to May. A boardwalk winds around the Boulders beach, giving a clear view of the dunes and the penguins.
The Boulders Beach is also home to many dunes divided by large boulders from where it derives its name. The Boulders Beach is also very popular for its gentle waves (making swimming easy even for kids) and clear rock pools. Parking is available at either end of the reservation on Seaforth Road and Bellevue Road.

Cape Point Nature Reserve
Cape Point is one of the most spectacular parks in South Africa, located in the Southern section of the Table Mountains. The Cape Wheel is a large observation wheel offering stunning 360-degree panoramic views of Cape Town and its surrounding landscape. Located on the V&A Waterfront, it rises to a height of 40m. There are 30 air-conditioned enclosed cabins and also two wheelchair-accessible cabins.

Fish Hoek Beach
