Established in the year 2010, the 62nd & Dorchester Community Garden has over 90-bed plots that are leased to individual families to plant independently during the growing season. The garden helps in producing organic food and providing it to the community.

The Art Institute of Chicago South Garden
Situated on the south side of the Art Institute of Chicago, the South Garden is built on top of a public garage. Designed by Dan Kiley, the garden is designed with a minimalistic approach. Nestled in the garden, is a sculptor by Lorado Taft called the Fountain of the lakes, fronted by a rectangular pool that is flanked by sixteen hawthorn trees.
The raised planters containing the hawthorn trees also provide places to sit for the visitors. Moving inward from Michigan avenue, two raided beds with three rows of honey locust trees, privet, and flowering bulbs create the entry of the park. The Keylime Cove and Water Park
The Keylime Cove and Water Park is a resort that houses an indoor water park stretched across 30 acres of land and is near the Six Flags Great America amusement park. The waterpark has several water features that include a Play Pond for the tiny tots, body slides, tube slides, an interactive playground with water sprays, and a giant bucket drop.
