Gowalkot fort
At a distance of 10 km from Chiplun and surrounded by the Vashishti river is the small island of Gowalkot. There is a fort that had been constructed way back in 1690 that offers a pleasant experience for trekkers who, at the top can get heart stopping views of the river and area as a whole.
Guhagar Beach
Guhagar beach is of the longest beaches in the Konkan region that boasts of its clean and vast stretch of white sand. Guhagar is a city in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra in India, located at an hour's distance from Chiplun, an ancient city known for its mangoes and coconut. Guhagar beach is picnic spot visited by those who prefer peaceful beaches where they can quietly sit down and relax.
There is a large play area for the kids and has swings, slides and see-saws for children to enjoy. Many small stalls here also sell coconut water and fried snacks here. There are water sports facilities are also available at Guhagar Beach, and the beach is considered safe to swim. Koyna Dam
The Koyna Dam is built on Koyana River that originates from Mahabaleshwar and is nestled between the Sahyadris in the Western Ghats. The massive structure is spread across 891 square km. The drive from Chiplun this place goes through majestic dense forests, plateaus, lush green meadows and scintillating Navna waterfalls.
It is not allowed to visit the dam, however, the travellers can take permission letter which is issued in Pune. Spending the sunrise and sunset by the Koyna dam and its surrounding Nehru Park or staying at MTDC's Koyana Resort. is one of the popular things to do.With proper permissions taken before the visit (from Pune), a provision is made to take travellers to the heart of the dam on a boat. Each boat accommodates 10-15 adults with boating experiences offered by both, government authorities and private establishments. Private establishments charge a very high rate as compared to the government authorities, but are open at all times; as against the government authorities which have fixed timings. You can see the mighty entrance gates of the dam from the cruise.

Lord Parashurama Temple
300 years old and running, with the most perfect mix of Hindu and Muslim architectural styles, the Parashuram temple in Chiplun is dedicated to the 6th incarnation of the Hindu deity.
The temple houses 3 idols and is surrounded by stone walls. Behind the temple is another shrine built for Goddess Renuka, Parashuram's mother. Legend goes that the Bandganga lake at this site was created after Parashuram shot five arrows into the land.
Marleshwar Temple
Marleshwar Temple, the Temple of Lord Shiva, is located in the lap of the cascading waters of the Dhareshwar waterfall in Marleshwar, Maharashtra, India. It is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Chiplun and is built in a cave. If you are up for some physical effort, it requires climbing 520 steps to reach the sacred shrine. A well known medium difficulty trek site, the Nageshwar temple is a great spot for amateur trekkers and photographers.
Nehru Smriti Udyan
The Nehru Smriti garden offers the best view of the Koyna dam and the Shivasagar lake. You can find plenty of fresh water fish in these water bodies. It is situated right next to the Koyna reservoir.
Pandavaas Caves
The laterite well built near to the Datta temple is thought to have been built by the Pandavas, and is one of the sites mentioned in many books of books and legends.
