25km from Chiplun is a museum dedicated to the life and works of Chhatrapati Shivaji. The museum had taken 15 years and about a crore rupees to build and was built by a social worker, Sitrambuva Walawalkar.
The museum depicts the great Maratha ruler's life in the form of pictures and statues, which makes it easier to understand. The emotions painted on the sculptures in this particular museum are applauded. It is a great spot for learning about historical happenings for both adults and children alike. It is possible to only visit the museum and not the rest of Chiplun as it is just a few turns away from the Mumbai Goa highway.
