Agios Gordios

Agios Gordios

Agios Gordios is a holiday resort village situated 5 km off the west coast of Corfu island. Besides the beautiful landscapes, one of the striking features here is that it is bordered by Ortholithi, which is a huge rock emerging from the sea. Agios Gordios is a rather noisy and busy beach yet an ideal summer vacation destination. It stretches across 1 km, its southern end being sandy, whereas its northern end is pebbly. The beach houses a hotel with the same name and a pink palace, sunbeds, umbrellas, and watersports for tourists. Some of the fun water activities here are banana rides, peddle boats, motor boats, and canoes available at the beach. Agios took its name from a church located at the center of the beach.  Read More

Agios Spiridon is a small beach in Paleokastritsa famous for its serene atmosphere and crystal clear water body surrounded by greenery. This sandy beach offers hiking, swimming, sunbathing, and birdwatching and is dominated largely by Mount Pantokrator. The beach was named after the protector of Corfu Island, Saint Spyridon. The beach has facilities and amenities, including sun loungers, umbrellas, showers, toilets, and several tavernas and cafes. There is another lake called Antinioti Lagoon, rich with flora and fauna, along with a small island Petsapou. Angelokastro

Angelokastro

Located on top of a rock 305 m above sea level, Angelokastro is one of Greece's most important Byzantine castles. There is only one way to reach the castle, by climbing a set of stairs. The castle offers beautiful panoramic views of the northern parts of the island and the bays of Paleokastritsa village. It is one of the oldest castles in Greece and has been there since the 7th century. The inner part of the castle contains an acropolis, garrison and graves, a church devoted to Archangel Michael at the highest point of the citadel, and the ruins of a tower. There is a path that leads to the foundations of the Agios Ioannis church and is truly historic and mesmerizing. There's also an ancient church present. Situated just 3 km south of Paxos is a Greek Island named Antipaxos, also sometimes known as Antipaxi. The island has three main beaches named Vrika, Mesovrika, and Voutoumi, and a harbour called Agrapidia. It is famous for its beautiful beaches situated on its northern end and the best snorkelling. The Archaeological Museum of Corfu houses findings dating from the 7th century BC to the 2nd century AD and was further expanded in 1994 to display finds from the ancient Citadel of Corfu. Its main exhibits include a collection from excavation sites of Cassiope, Thesprotia, Cenotaph of Menekrates, the Lion of Menecrates, Gorgon pediment from the Artemis Temple, the marble torso of Apollo, ancient coins, bronze, golden statues, and so on.

Canal d'Amour

There are sculpted sandstone rocks that rise up on both sides, forming an inlet bay of the canal. This structure was carved by nature with the force of the sea and the wind over many centuries.
