Anshi National Park
Located at the eco-sensitive part of Western Ghats (altitude ranging from 200 meters to 900 meters) in Uttara Kannada district is Anshi National Park, an evergreen tropical rainforest. Anshi National Park is a part of the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary and covers about 500 square kilometres of the natural reserve.
It is a famous Tiger Reserve and is now called the Kali Tiger Reserve. With high biodiversity that is most specific to the Western Ghats of India, the attraction is a favourite amongst nature and animal lovers. The park is home to hundreds of species of wild animals, endemic birds, herbs, shrubs, and reptiles. Overlooking the Kali river which flows through it, the remarkable topography of the park includes beautiful deep valleys, dense forests and narrow hills slopes.

This is another mesmerising place that is simply picture perfect. The Jenukallu Gudda sunset point is also called 'honey rock hillock' point, since 'Jenu?'means honey, 'Kallu' means stone and 'Gudda' means hill. You can view the sun slowly settle down from this location amidst the never ending valleys. You can also catch a glimpse of the entire Western hills. Kavadi Kere
Kavadi Kere is a beautiful lake located at a distance of 10 kms from Magod falls. There is a temple is dedicated to the goddess 'Kavadiamma' or popularly known as goddess Durga. It is often also associated with the legend of Mahabharata and is believed to be the lake that was built by Bheem after Goddess Durga blessed him.
There is a well-constructed road that leads to this temple. It is a belief that the Kavadikeri Lake temple dates back to the Dwapara Yuga (third of the four yugas as mentioned in the Hindu scriptures). The temple premises are also known as Shree Kshetra. You can spot the red and black-crested Bulbul and the river Lapwing here. Also, you can find beautiful wild orchids growing around the lake.

Kodasalli Backwaters
Kodasalli Backwaters is a mesmerising pool of water accumulated behind the Kodasalli Dam in the state of Karnataka. The dam with the same name is constructed over the Kali river in the Yellapur Taluk; the waters are used to generate electric power and this site is classified as a hydroelectric power station. The pool is also fed by waters gushing down from the Sathodi Waterfalls above it. On your way downhill from the Sathodi Waterfalls, a mild downward trek off route can take you to the serene and tranquil backwaters. Besides the alluring beauty of the surrounding forests and the lake view in the front, several chopped tree trunks branching out from the lake give it a pretty artistic look. A small tea stall nearby serves piping hot tea.
