Magod Falls
Situated at a distance of around 17 km from Yellapur in Karnataka, Magod Falls, also known as Magodu Falls is a group of waterfalls that cascade down a height of 200 m. The falls are formed when River Bedti falls down from the rocky cliffs. Known to be a popular picnic spot, the place is also frequented by photographers and nature lovers.
Located near Sathodi falls, these group of waterfalls are located in the Uttar Kannada district. The Magod fall goes dry during summers and appears misty in the monsoon season. It lies in between dense forest cover. There is no entry fee for visiting this spot, and it is open on all days of the week.

Mini Tibet

Sathodi Falls
The Sathodi falls, locally known as 'mini- Niagra' lies in the Uttara Kannada district of Yellapur, in Karnataka. Several unnamed streams near Kallaramane ghat unite together to form the Sathodi Falls. Until a few years back the non-locals were completely unaware of its existence until it started attracting tourists. The Sathodi waterfall is 15 metres tall and appears to be rectangular.
These exquisite waterfalls run through the forest, and there is half a kilometre of an enjoyable walk which takes around 20 minutes from the entrance & parking spot to the actual falls. There are accurately placed signboards for convenience. At the entrance, you will have to pay INR 5 per head. As you walk for about 10 minutes, you will clearly hear the sound of cascading water. The path that leads to the waterfall is very narrow, and you will have to walk slowly. The waterfall runs all the year-round. The waterfall has a natural pool where swimming in the water is possible.The waterfalls are rapturing enough, while the road which leads to the waterfalls from Yellapur is an enjoyable jungle ride. The only high ground clearance vehicles can go through this route. After falling, the water from this fall joins the backwaters of Kodasalli dam.

Shivaji Fort

Sri Mallikarjuna Temple
Sri Mallikarjuna Temple is believed to be the oldest temple in the state. In fact, a stone inscription states that it was built in 1144 on land donated by King Jayakesha. The temple is of immense religious significance and the marvellous Kadamba style architecture also attracts tourists in large numbers.
Sri Tulaja Bhavani Temple
Sri Tulaja Bhavani Temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhavani, an incarnation of Goddess Parvati. The Tulaja Bhavani education and Dharmadatti Trust established the temple in 1996. It houses a stunning stone-carved idol of the Goddess.
Supa Dam
The magnificent Supa Dam has been built over River Kali. The engineering marvel is an earthen dam with left bank spillway, stands 101 metres tall, has a length of 330 metres and a catchment area of over 1000 square kilometres. It has a power plant that generates about 100 MW of energy to supply electricity to the state.
