Bailadila Mountains
Rich with deposits of iron ore, Bailadila Mountain range consists of 14 reserves with 3 under mining. Bacheli and Kirandul are the two industrial zones in this area.
Resembling oxen humps, this range has thus been named Baila Dila housing the top most peak at Akash Nagar. However, permissions must be obtained from NMDC (National Mineral Development Corporation) to visit this mining site. Similarly, 12 kms from Kirandul takes the visitors to Kailash Nagar, yet another peak of Bailadila range famous for deposits of 'Blue Dust', the sand like blue colored Iron Ore.

Barsur Village, the throne of power for Gangawanshi rulers in 840 AD, is located on the banks of river Indravati. The village famously known as the city of temples and ponds is adorned with a total of 147 temples and 147 ponds.

Danteshwari Temple
One of the 52 Shakti Peeths of the country, this 600 year old temple has been constructed in South Indian style of temple architecture in the 14th century by the rulers of the Chalukya Dynasty.
The temple is known for its black stone idol and a Garuda pillar and is segregated into four zones, namely the Garbha Griha, Mukhya Mandap, Maha Mandap and the Sabha Mandap. It is located at the confluence of the holy rivers Shankini & Dhankini. The mythical narration tells that Goddess Parvati had burnt herself on Lord Shiva's insult by her father. As a result, Lord Shiva performed the Taandav with Goddess Parvati's cadaver in his arms and destroyed the Yaga of Daksha. To pacify him, Lord Vishnu tried to cut the body of the Goddess that scattered around 52 places termed as the Shakti Peeths.

Indravati National Park
The only tiger reserve in the green state of Chhattisgarh, Indravati National Park boasts of a wildlife population larger than many others in the country. It is among the three royal tiger reserves this state, the other being Achanakmar and Undanti-Sitandadi tiger reserves.
