Dirang Dzong

Dirang Dzong, or the Dirang Fort, is a citadel which was said to have been built to protect Bomdila from neighbouring regions in the 17th century. It was then used as a prison during the world wars. Today it serves as a residential area for people from the Monpa community, with the settlement having outgrown the citadel's walls. Natural Hot Water Spring in Dirang

The natural hot water spring in Dirang is said to have a large sulphur content, giving it medicinal properties. The spring can be reached via a series of steps, and there is a pool where visitors can take a bath for a fee. Currently, the pool area and other facilities, such as changing rooms and washrooms are undergoing renovation and are not available for use.
