Angling
Diveagar boasts of a clean and pristine beach dotted with a number of fishing villages on either side. Seafood is a large portion of the cuisine of Diveagar, and most of it comes from angling.
Bagmandala
A small village lying just few miles from the sacred city of Harihareshwar, Bagmandala is said to have a vivid past. It is believed that the place was once home to Peshwa, the prime minister of Maratha Kingdom for several years.
The antiquity of the kingdom can be witnessed in form of an old fort called Bankot Fort and a Peshwa Sarak. This prime attraction of this village however is Jungle Jetty, a sea harbor amid the thick forest. The port present here is a ferry point that is used by the locals for travelling over the Bagmandala creek. Currently under planning is a launch of boat ride that will extend up to 5 kms and will take the visitors to Bankot Fort.

Bankot Fort
Situated in Bagmandala close to Diveagar about 4 km away, Bankot Fort is place for history buffs. It is said that the fort was captured by the Portuguese from Adil Shah in 1545 and was later acquired by Marathas.
Also known as Himmat Garh, the fort even today stands in its full glory though what remain of it are only its ruins. The place is also famed for an opportunity for its tourists of exploring the northern region of the bay. Gajanan Temple is also featured by the fort located just at its entrance called Mahadarwaja and is adorned with an ornamented balcony displaying arches. One can also see a graveyard lying in the outer regions of the fort. The graves comprises of vertical pillars as headstones and marble inscriptions.

Diveagar Beach
Diveagar beach is a charming natural beauty situated in the Raigad district of Maharashtra and is situated 170 kilometres away from the capital city of Mumbai. Kondivili Beach
Finally a place for adventure seekers, Kondivili Beach famed for such sport activities is situated about 5 km from Shrivardhan Beach. The poplar activities that you can indulge at this beach are paragliding and surfing.
To access to this beautiful beach features gleaming white sand is by trekking through the cliffs of Shrivardhan.
Kushmeshwar Temple
Kushmeshwar Temple is a beautiful temple situated amid a group of several temples along the Arabian Sea. The temple features numerous intricately carved stone idols while surrounded by sprawling greenery of Kushmeshwar Hills.
The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Ganesha and his idol can be seen inside the complex weighing about 12 kg. According to the myth, this idol was found nearly 1000 years ago in a chest full of diamond and today attracts devotees in large number.

Lord Suvarnaganesha Temple
Lord Suvarnaganesha Temple is a temple of great significance owing to its 300 years old idol of Lord Ganesha also referred to as Suvarnaganesha. The idol is famed as it is crafted with 24 carat pure gold and measures to be 60 cm tall and weighs as 1.3
kg. It is believed that this gold sculpture was a replacement for a stone idol of Lord Ganesha. According to folklore, on Sankashti Chaturthi on 17 November 1997, Draupadi Dharma Patil unearthed a copper chest about 40-50 cm below the ground while working on a coconut plantation. The chest weighed about 30 kg and measured to be 37.5 cm in length, 45 cm in width and 17.5 cm high. It is said that the box was engraved with the text in Sanskrit language of 10th century. The gold idol of Lord Ganesha along with its several ornaments was found inside that box. However, the reason of the box's and the idol's burial is still a big mystery.
