Sri Mahadeva Temple
Sri Mahadeva Temple, Tambdi Surla is one of the oldest temples in Goa to Lord Shiva. It is said to be built by the minister of King Ramachandra of the Yadava Dynasty, Hemadri, but has influences of architecture belonging to the time the Kadamba Dynasty ruled Goa as well. The monument is made of basalt rocks sourced from the Deccan Plateau and adorns beautiful carvings made by skilled craftsmen of the time.
The inner sanctum of Sri Mahadeva Temple has a Shiva Linga mounted on a raised pedestal. There is also a statue of headless Nandi (Lord Shiva's vehicle) in the middle of the temple mandap which is surrounded by four columns. The locals believe that there is a huge king cobra permanently sitting near the Shiva Linga.

St. Andrew's Church Goa
The Church of St. Andrew’s was first founded and built in 1570 and inaugurated with pompous celebrations. The original building of the church was later destroyed by Adil Shah’s soldiers in 1578. The present building is a result of the architectural amalgamation over the years since 1594. The Neo-Gothic style is the most prominent part of the design features that we see in the church today. The most recent changes and inclusions were in the year 2010 with the long extended prayer halls. The church has the pure white all around and the grottos are beautifully maintained in gold tinge and there is a statue of Lady of Fathima carved in marble. The port town - Vasco da Gama celebrates the feast of St Andrew on 30th of November and the town rejoices and comes together to celebrate the patron saint of spinsters and fishermen.

St John the Baptist Church Goa

Statue of Abbe Faria
Statue of Abbe Faria was built in the honor of an acclaimed hypnotist, Abbe Jose Custodia Faria. He was a Luso-Goan Catholic monk, a pioneer of the scientific study of hypnotism and the first one to ever demonstrate and prove its existence. The historic statue made of bronze was installed in the state capital in 1945 and depicts Abbe Faria hypnotising a woman. The statue is located at a small square just near the Secretariat Building in Panjim.

Talpona Beach
Talpona Beach is located the Canacona region of South Goa, near the Galgibaga Beach and Rajbag Beach. It is one of the few beaches in Goa which is not visited by the crowd of tourists. With a kilometre long shoreline, pure golden sands populate the beach, framed by swaying palm and pine trees. This beach is ideal for people looking for absolute isolation and peace.
As this beach opened up to tourists a couple of years ago, there is not much in terms of seaside amusement at Talpona Beach. There are one or two beach shacks offering basic drinks and snacks. To the north of Talpona Beach, one can see the convergence of the Talpona river with the Arabian Sea. A variety of bird species can be seen resting by the Talpona River. Talpona beach is shrouded with a woody cover from all sides except the sea, making it quite the natural wonderland.

Tambdi Surla Waterfalls
In the green and serene environs of the Bhagwan Mahavir National Park flow the majestic Tambdi Surla Waterfalls. Less famous than the neighbouring Dudhsagar Falls, these have an untouched beauty that hasto be seen to be believed. The Tambdi Surla Falls lie inside the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, on the Goa-Karnataka border. They are approximately 86 km from Panjim, and you would need to have your own or a hired transport options to reach them. Although these are named after the Tambadi Surla Temple, the falls themselves are some distance away from the temple. The small but moderately difficult Tambdi Surla Waterfalls Trek is likely to reward you with amazing and refreshing views of the verdant forests. You can also spot some rare snakes like the Common Krait, Russel's Viper, or the more common - Vine snake. Trekking among this diversity of nature, the musical chirping of the birds and flitting butterflies is an experience that you are unlikely to forget in a hurry.Tambdi Surla Waterfalls TrekThe Tambdi Surla trek can take you anywhere between 90 minutes to 120 minutes to finish, and the grade is moderate.
