Also known as the Temple of Ten Thousand Buddhas, the four-storeyed structure is often filled with incense smoke and offerings at the altar. The top floor houses an ornate statue of Buddha measuring over 20 feet, while 10,000 smaller statutes surround it. It can be a little difficult to find as it is tucked away in a secluded street, hidden among the residential buildings, but it's worth the hassle. Although there is no explicit mention of this on the lower floors, make sure you take off your footwear before proceeding. This is, in fact, common to many South Asian religious sites, as a sign of respect to the deities. Upon entering Chua Van Phat, one can feel calmness and serenity dawn upon them. As the smell of many lit incense sticks wafts through the temple, one feels a great sense of calmness. (Note: Make sure you either carry a mask or avoid the place if you're asthmatic). What really steals the show is the sheer number of Buddha statues and the painstakingly ornate detail of each. A temple with multiple floors, it houses the ten thousand Buddhas on the fourth floor. Besides this, it has a living area and a Buddhist cemetery on the second floor. Whether you're spiritual or not, this has to be on your list if you find yourself in Vietnam. The detail in each Buddha idol on the fourth floor, covering the entire room from the roof to the floor, is surely a sight to beholdHow to Reach Chua Van PhatThe Chua Van Phat is in the Nghia Thuc Street, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City.
