It was formed by Wan Chan Revitalisation Initiatives Special Committee (OWCRISC) on september 27, 2009 to conserve and protect the culture of Wan Chai. At present, the trail features 15 sites and is roughly a 2-hour walk. The Wan Chai Heritage Trail is divided into two parts- cultural and architectural. Computers have been installed along the route to let the visitors read about the places they visit.
