The historical Hong Kong Tramways is the oldest and cheapest transportation mode in the city. Popularly known as "Ding Ding Tram", due to the double-bell ring used to alert people of their approach, these are the only fleet of ‘double-decker’ trams in the world making them an iconic way of commute. Operated by the Hong Kong Tramways Ltd, the Ding Ding Tram starts from the Kennedy Town depot and terminate at the depot in Shau Kei Wan covering a span of 120 stops. The total distance covered is around 13 kilometres and the journey takes about an hour and a half. There are trams available for private hire as well which are great for sightseeing or celebrations.
