"The Holy Abode of Devi Annapoorna"

Horanadu Tourism

Welcome to Horanadu, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of nature's embrace. Horanadu Tourism offers a unique blend of serenity and spirituality, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking a peaceful retreat. Horanadu, enveloped in verdant surroundings and adorned with an abundance of cultural richness, cordially welcomes guests to fully immerse themselves in its enchantment.Horanadu is a village located in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka, India. It is known for the prominent Adhishakthyatmaka Annapoorneshwari Temple, a significant religious and pilgrimage destination.Horanadu, with its spiritual significance, natural beauty, and cultural richness, is a destination that appeals to both religious devotees and those seeking a peaceful retreat in the lap of nature.

Known for the adored Annapoorneeshwari Temple, Horanadu is a holy Hindu city located in Malnad, Karnataka. Covered with green paddy fields and accompanied by a hilly background, this region lies at an altitude of 2726 m. With pristine natural beauty, Horanadu is also notorious for its expansive collection of dry fruits, cashew nuts, and almonds, along with tea, coffee, and spice requests. All this can be bought at much cheaper rates than in metropolises. Maharishi Agasthya is said to have founded this church in the eighth century. Thousands of addicts visit Horanadu on the occasion of Navratri. Dedicated to Devi Durga, this nine-day jubilee is celebrated with fervour at the Annapoorna Temple. The girding aesthetics are fresh and green during the downtime months, and there's a bite in the air. On the way to Horanadu, you will find Kukke Subrahmanya, Dharmasthala, Sringeri, Udupi Krishna Tabernacle, and Kollooru Mookaambike.

Located in the midst of the graphic, lush green geographies of the Western Ghats, just 10 km down from Kalasa, is the godly tabernacle of Sri Annapoorneshwari at an elevation of 831 m, or roughly 2726ft. Pilgrims travel to Horanadu, a tiny panchayat hamlet in Kalasa taluk's Chikkamagalur area, all year round. Girdled by the magical geographies of the Western Ghats in the Malanadu region on the banks of the swash Bhadra, Sri Kshetra Horanadu is home to the goddess Annapoorneshwari. Several centuries ago, the godly Agasthya Maharishi performed the deity's prithistapana.
Adi Shankaracharya installed the main idol of the goddess Annapoorneshwari in 1973. The godly deity Annapoorneshwari statue in gold fascinates addicts throughout the time. The goddess Annapoorneshwari is believed to be the goddess of food. As per the belief in Hindu tradition, if one offers prayers to the goddess and seeks her blessings, there won't be any lack of food in their lives. This is why all three refections, including tea, coffee, and snacks, are offered as annaparasadam to the addicts by the tabernacle authorities. The tabernacle and the goddess welcome every sucker, irrespective of their religion, estate, creed, and language. The tabernacle sees callers throughout the time; still, during Navaratri and on the day of Akshaya Trithiya, the crowd is at its loftiest. Although there's no exact date available as to when the tabernacle was constructed, it's believed to be from the 8th century. The magnific armature and the positive vibes of the tabernacle mesmerise callers. The thick timbers, beautiful geographies, gorgeous denes, and falls en route make the visit to Horanadu indeed more worthwhile. The Malanadu region has a lot more to offer and must-visit places. Add Kukke Subramanya Temple, Dharamasthala, Sringeri, Kolluru Mookambika Temple, and Udupi Sri Krishna Matha to your planners to make your stint memorable. Still, in and around Horanadu, there's much more to see and witness.
