Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Indian Botanic Garden
Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Indian Botanic Garden also called as Royal Botanical Garden of Kolkata is located in Shibpur Howrah. It is famous for a wide variety of over 1400 plant species it has. The garden spreads over an area of 269 acres of land and is believed to have helped establish the trade of Tea in Assam and the Himalayan regions.
The garden is also the Central National Herbarium since 1793 when William Roxburgh, a renowned botanist — developed an elaborate and extensive herbarium with plants sourced from all over the world. As of today, the garden has 2.5 million samples. It is maintained by the Botanical Survey of India and has been one of the hotspots for botanists and students interested in the subject. But, the premise is also open for tourists who wish to absorb the tranquil atmosphere and feel closer to nature.

Lal Dighi commonly known as Tank Square or Dalhousie Lake is situated in the heart of Kolkata, West Bengal. The tank is spread out over an area of 25 acres(100,000 sq. m). Mullick Ghat Flower Market
The Flower Market in Mullick Ghat is one of the few places where tourists can experience a different Howrah so to speak. The lane is lined by vendors who get a wide variety of flowers ranging from Marigold, Jasmine, Roses, Sunflower, Daisies, Lillies, Chrysanthemum, Lotus, Orchids etc., which are sourced from the farms nearby. They are displayed all along the street for the customers interested in buying.
The Flower market is an integral part of Howrah since 1855. It is the only place where one can find a wide variety of flowers being sold every single day. Usually, the market remains open the entire day and sometimes well into the night, but it is best when visited early in the morning because huge fresh shipments of all sorts of flowers start coming in just a few hours before sunrise. There are daily auctions through which retailers purchase flowers at wholesale rates and sell them in the market at retail prices for the remaining part of the day. The market is a minute away from the east side of Howrah Bridge and is located on the eastern bank of Hooghly River. It is lined up by temporary shacks where the flowers are sold.

Nivedita Setu
Nivedita Setu, also known as Second Vivekananda Setu, is situated in Howrah, Kolkata. This bridge often that acts as an extension of Belghoria Expressway connects major highways NH 2 and NH 6 to NH 34 and NH35. Nivedita Setu often appreciated for the architectural expertise displayed in its construction, is a cable-stayed bridge. River Hooghly
River Hooghly, also known as the Bhagirathi-Hoogly and Kati-Ganga River, is a stunning waterbody and an important source of water, seafood and the lifeline of Howrah. It is 260 km long, and the channel flows through the city and finally merges with the Bay of Bengal. It's a picnic hotspot for locals and tourists equally where they spend time basking in the morning sun or taking a ferry ride across the river.
