Perak Cave Temple
Perak Cave Temple is a Buddhist temple situated in a limestone hill at Gunung Tasek. Popular for its stunning architecture, it is built into a huge cave with a 40-feet tall sitting Golden Buddha statue surrounded by four guardian deities, called as goddesses.
One interesting feature of Perak Cave Temple is the staircase of 358 steps behind the main alter, lined with pavilions and gazebos. The view from the top is spell-binding. Another flight of 400 stairs leads to a double-storey pavilion. The colorful murals on the walls depicts events and characters from the Chinese folklore and Buddhist scriptures.

Sam Poh Tong Cave Temple
Sam Poh Tong Cave Temple, situated in Gunung Rapat, is a cluster of three Chinese limestone cave temples adorned with natural and manmade artistic attractions. Ling Sen Tong, Nam Thean Tong, and Sam Poh Tong are the three temples. The oldest and main cave temple in Ipoh; it affords a spectacular view of the town. A major attraction is the reclining Buddha statue.
The Sam Poh Tong Cave Temple consists of a columbarium that looks like a 4-story blue apartment with 246 steps to reach an open area to get a mesmerizing and unmatchable view of the Ipoh. In front of the temple is an attractive landscape garden consisting of a large fish pond and a feeding area for fish and tortoises. Ling Sen Tong and Nam Thean Tong are close to each other while Sam Poh Tong is a little further.

Located along with Jalan Eu Kong in Gopeng, the Gopeng museum narrates the history of Gopeng by displaying some 300 antiques. History geeks will also find some machines processing tin and rubber in the museum. Other major exhibits in this exhibition centre include some vintage objects like old-school sewing machines, watches, clocks, radios, gas lamps, typewriters, cameras, and gramophone records. Visitors can also peep into the lives of the initial natives in Gopeng by just glancing at the information boards here. Gua Tempurung
Gua Tempurung is a beautiful limestone cave located in Gopeng in Perak. Popular for caving, it is the largest cave in all of peninsular Malaysia. A part of this 3-kilometer-long cave has been developed as a show cave, complete with walkways and electric lighting. It is quite easy to explore and has a 1.6-kilometer-long river passage running through the hills.
The tunnel of Tempurung Cave is made up of five gigantic domes, the ceilings of which resemble coconut shells; other than this, there are also some spectacular stalactites and stalagmites worth witnessing here. The caves are also well known worldwide for their rock formations and these speleological wonders are found only in this part of the world.
