There are a lot of festivals which are celebrated in Itanagar. Nyokum is celebrated by the Nyishi people of Arunachal. This festival is celebrated to invite all the Gods and Goddesses of the universe to a particular venue at a particular time and is commonly worshipped by the people irrespective of caste, creed or class. The Dree Festival is an Apatani agricultural festival celebrated to appease the gods to avoid famine. Solung is another festival celebrated by the Adi in the month of September for five days or more. This is a harvest festival celebrated in hope of good harvesting season. Monpas celebrate the Losar festival. The third largest national park in the country, area-wise, Namdapha National Park is located in Arunachal Pradesh. Namdapha National Park is a gem for any wildlife and nature lover.
