National Gallery of Indonesia
Galeri Nasional, or National Gallery, is a hub of modern Indonesian art exhibiting the evolution of Indonesia through art. It has temporary and permanent museums containing more than 1700 artworks. You can visit only on prior reservations, where you are given a 1-hour slot to explore the gallery.
National Gallery of Indonesia has been an eminent cultural institution since its inception in May of 1999. Located in Sawah Besar of Jakarta, Gedung Kesenian Jakarta or the Jakarta Art Building is a concert hall. It was established during the Dutch colonization by Sir Stamford Raffles. The building's Dutch heritage is reflected in its architecture and gives the concert hall a distinctly vintage vibe. Gedung Kesenian Jakarta plays host to many orchestral performances, theatrical showcases, and musical ensembles.
The building was first called ‘Schouwburg’ since they made the first performance of the famous play ‘Othello’ by Shakespeare. The structure was initially erected as a simple structure which was later modified into an empire style. Gedung Pancasila
Gedung Pancasila or Pancasila Building derives its name from Sanskrit meaning "five principles", the philosophy forming the basis of the Indonesian Nation in 1945. Built during the Dutch era, it served as the residence of the Dutch army commander, refurbished and renamed to Gedung Pancasila after President Sukarno gave his Pancasila Speech. This building makes its mark in modern Indonesian history as a symbol of the free nation's birth, making it a must-visit.
Standing gleaming white on Jalan Penjambon, Pancasila Building embodies the five principles that unite Indonesia and form the Indonesian identity. One of the remaining vestiges of colonial Dutch architecture in Jakarta, the building is now used for official important ceremonies for the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

General Sudirman Statue

St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, or Jakarta Cathedral, is an elegant Roman Catholic church that stands 60m tall opposite Istiqlal Mosque. The present Gereja Katerdral church building was designed by Father Antonius Dijkmans and inaugurated in 1901. The original church building had burned down, along with the 180 houses surrounding it. Gereja Sion, which translates to Sion Church in Indonesian, is a quaint historic landmark situated in the Pinangsia Administrative District of Taman Sari in Jakarta.
