"Where the Mountains Meet the Sky"
Kaikoura Tourism
Nestled between the azure waters of the Pacific Ocean and the majestic Kaikoura Ranges, Kaikoura is a haven for avid travellers seeking a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural richness. Our journey begins in this quaint coastal town, where the picturesque landscapes meet the warm hospitality of the locals. Kaikoura Tourism promises an unforgettable experience, offering a myriad of activities that cater to every traveler's taste.
Kaikoura, which lies on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand, is the perfect place for a weekend flight from the metropolises of Picton or Christchurch. It boasts of having the most successful Goliath and dolphin-finding tenures, with a nearly 100 percent finding rate. One can see colourful kinds of jumbos, including sperm jumbos, orcas, humpback jumbos, and indeed the potent blue Goliath! You could also go swimming in the ocean with these gentle, inoffensive titans. There are multiple Goliath and dolphin-finding tenures that operate there, both on boats and on copters!
The drive up to Kaikoura from Christchurch takes you through the beautiful Waipara Valley, known for its stations. The route from Picton is also veritably scenic, as it lies along the bank. There are day trips that operate from these metropolises to Kaikoura, just for Goliath-finding. Still, there's something important to explore in the little city, similar to the fur seal colony. You could also try the original and fresh seafood served in multiple places; the city is notorious for its crayfish. Also try the Paua Sandwich, which is vended near the fur seal colony at colourful snack booths. Taking a walk along the Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway would be an ideal way to end a long day, as you can take in the beautiful view of the promontory.
Effects to Do
1. Goliath finding: There are multiple tenures that operate then. You can choose to go on a boat or by car. The average price for a boat trip is $150 for a grownup, and it's the cheapest way to see jumbos. Still, these tenures occasionally get cancelled due to rough weather. However, it's much more precious at around $300 per adult, but it isn't subject to rough rainfall in the ocean if you choose to go by car. Although they stay around 150 metres above water, you wo n’t be able to see the jumbos over there.
2. Fur Seal Colony: There are multiple spots across the city, the most popular being Ohau Point, where you can see hundreds of seals laying around on the jewels and reposing in the sun. You can get close enough to click on some amazing prints of the seals! 3. Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway: You can tromp around on the Kaikoura Peninsula walkway and take in the sun and the ocean while looking at the beautiful littoral catcalls. It provides a fantastic view of the promontory, and you can indeed spot many seals along the way!
