7th Mile View Point
The 7th Mile Viewpoint is located 3km outside of Kalimpong, West Bengal and is a part of most tourist circuits. The viewpoint overlooks the stunning Teesta Rangeet Valley and tea plantations and is the ideal place to relax.
The viewpoint attract a lot of tourists and locals who come here to revel in the tranquillity of the area while enjoying views of the Teesta River flowing through the mountains. Hiking and picnicking are also quite popular here. It is well-known as a photography spot because of the lush beauty and a visit to the viewpoint at sunset is even more wonderful since the sky is the process of changing colours! Kalimpong Science Centre
The Kalimpong Science Centre, which is also known as the Kalimpong Science City, is a science and technology centre situated close to Deolo Hill in Kalimpong, West Bengal. It was established in order to propagate a scientific temper and to share amongst the public knowledge and ideas pertaining to science and technology. There is a science observatory and 3D movie theatre on the premises.
Set up by the National Council of Science Museums, it spans an area of 7 acres and overlooks the mighty Kanchenjunga. Within the museum are a variety of exhibits that people can see. There are indoor exhibits which include the Fun Science Gallery where one can find scientific objects and interact with them in order to learn. The kaleidoscope, rolling balls, fun mirrors, pendulum, optical gadgets, objects defying gravity as well as others are a few of them. The Digital Gallery focuses on the inception and journey of computerised scientific gadgets. One would see a blue tooth printer, a phone which plays the voice of JJ Thomson and also learn about bar code reading or binary coding. The outdoor exhibits are displayed in the Science Park which is lush green. There are massive dinosaur installations, exhibits explaining the evolution of the different species on earth and exhibits on pendulums, optics and sound. One can learn about the working of pulleys, the reflectometer of sound, check one’s weight and also find out how difficult it is to get out of a spider web. There is also a medicinal garden comprising medicinal plants so as to teach people about their values and habitats. Furthermore, activities are organised for children wherein they can learn about the stars and planets through Taramandal, an inflatable dome.

Mangal Dham
Mangaldham is a Hindu temple situated on Relli Road in Kalimpong, West Bengal that is built in the memory of Guruji Shri Mangal Das Ji Maharaj. Lord Krishna is the principal deity here. The temple complex is known for its embellished statues, lush gardens and the vibrant sanctuary.
Sprawled out over an area of more than acres, Mangaldham is divided into a few floors, of which the ground floor is where one would find Guruji’s Samadhi. The prayer hall is on the top floor where there is an idol of Raj Shyamaji with those of the Revered Prannath ji and Shri Guru Mangaldasji on either side of it. The two sides of the prayer hall depict scenes from the Krishna Leela such as the meeting between Nijanandacharya Shri Devchandraji meeting Lord Krishna and Prannath ji blessing Bundela Chhatrasal Maharaj. The temple has also undertaken several initiatives such as opening a pilgrim centre, gurukulam for boys and hostel for girls, Pranami goushala, seva sadan hospital etc. Moreover, there is garden outside with flowers where visitors can walk around.
