Situated almost 8 km from Sangla, Basteri Village is place where you can shop some interesting local handicrafts. Handmade shawls and Kinnauri caps are the most famous items in the village. Do not forget to buy pine nuts or chilgoza, which are grown here. Trout Fishing Farm, which lies on the way towards this village, is not to be missed.

Trekking to Chakka

Adrenaline rushing adventure awaits you at Chaka! The Chaka peak with an altitude of 15000 ft above the sea level is an amazing trek up the hill along the gurgling water channel. The uphill journey is almost 2-3 hour long while it will take about 1.5 hours going downhill. Hire a local guide to explore the place to its best and if possible begin your trip to the place in the morning say around 9:00AM to 9:30AM.
