Kep is famous across Cambodia for its crab, which are found in Crab shacks - local restaurants serving its different local cuisines. It is a recommended activity for tourists traveling to Kep to try the various seafood delicacies.
The most popular crab dish is fried crab with local pepper. Steamed, stewed crabs dipped in Amok curry or spicy red sauce is served in Crab shacks along with other seafood options.
With just a few crab shacks a few years ago, now you can find plenty of them all around Kep. The most popular ones are a series of wooden restaurants located next to the Crab market. There are a couple of Crab shacks close to Kep beach as well. English menu is available in most of these shacks. The locals speak manageable English, so it's better to state the order and check prices beforehand clearly. Some of the crab shacks are excellent locations to watch the sunset, relax and dine. Crab Statue
The provincial town of Kep in Cambodia is famous for the crabs around the world. To welcome the visitors, the locals have built a Crab Statue out in the sea, which is the icon of Kep. The giant blue crab statue, built on a wooden platform rising from the sea, catches the attention of the tourists instantly, and in front of it is the bay area comprising of the Crab Market and series of wooden restaurants serving local crab cuisines. The statue is among the latest additions to the attractions in Kep. It has a welcome sign along with a note stating 'Kep Kep clean,' indicating the tourists to maintain the cleanliness in Kep.
Next to it is the Kep Beach, with its shore lined up with local shops selling souvenirs and food. It is a great place to spend early hours of morning or evening near the Crab statue to experience Kep's market life.

Kep Beach
Kep Beach, a long crescent stretching at the tip of the Kep Peninsula opening to the Gulf of Thailand, is a popular tourist attraction in the town among the locals as well as international travelers. The vehicle-free promenade along the beach coupled with a few other neighbouring attractions make visiting Kep beach worth it.
Kep Beach was a very famous centre of attraction when the French colonized the town. Luxurious villas, expensive hotels and clubs lined up along the shore, making it a happening place. The beach region was deserted later on in the war years turning the area into a ghost town. In the 1980s, Kep Beach got revived again after powder-white sand was transported from other beaches. Now, it's a popular attraction to enjoy and relax here tasting delicious crab cuisines in the nearby crab shacks. The beach area gets busy during the weekends and holidays. There is a statue of Srey Saw, a statue depicting a nude fisherman's wife awaiting her husband's return at the east end of the promenade, which is a prominent landmark. The Crab Market is the centre where most of the crabs are procured and sold and is a significant attraction of Kep close to the beach. Also nearby is Kep National Park. You can drive along the road that originates from the town centre and circles around the beach. This loop is favourite among tourists who go driving renting motorbikes or bikes.

Kep Butterfly Farm is a private ecological garden located outside the provincial town of Kep in Cambodia. One of the latest additions to the list of Kep attractions for the tourists, the farm is home to hundreds of species of colourful butterflies thriving in a beautiful garden rich in the local flora. Close to Kep National Park, the farm is worth a short trip.

Kep National Park is located in the interior of Kep Province in south-east Cambodia. It is known for beautiful hiking trails, especially the trail 'Stairway to Heaven,' located amidst lush mountains, with many points offering lovely views of Bokor mountains and Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam. The Teuk Chhou Zoo or Kep Zoo as it is popularly called is located in Thmei Village in the Prey Thom Commune between the provincial towns of Kampot and Kep in Cambodia. Koh Tonsay is one of the most well-known islands in Kep.
Kep is home to a lot of different islands. Koh Tonsay is one of these and is popular for its 250 m long beach. It is also called Rabbit Island, because it has the shape of a rabbit! While there isn't a lot of pristine white sand on this beach, it does have a lot of shops, bungalows and other little shacks dotted around. It has an ancient, rustic feel to it and is different compared to the other islands of Kep.

Sailing Club
The sailing club is located at Knai Bang Chat, a boutique luxury resort close to the provincial town of Kep in SouthWest Cambodia. It is the first sailing club in the country open to the public. Built on stilts, the club is in a beautiful ambience beside fishermen's house and a series of palm trees. The club is open for tourists, and you can enjoy some water sports or watch the sunset on your Kep trip.
