On the  trace from Jodhpur to Bikaner, an hour out of the Rathore  fort, past the mediaeval  tabernacles of Osian with their stunning gravestone busts, is the small township of Khimsar. Established by an inheritor of the House of Jodhpur, Khimsar was  formerly a small area. The construction of the  stronghold  originally began in 1523, but the family moved in to the  stronghold only during the 18th century after a new zenana, or ladies  sect, was constructed. Thakur Onkar Singh, the present  inhabitant of the  stronghold,  erected a regal  sect for himself in the 1940s. The pride of the Khimsar  moment is still that  stronghold, 450 years old and  presently home to the 18th, 19th, and 20th generations of the Khimsar thakurs.   During the Nagaur Festival, people from far and near come and trade cattle in bulk. Colourful conditioning like haul-of-war, camel racing, etc. are also organised. The red chilli  requests set up during this time are also notorious all over Asia. Excursionists  substantially flock to this  city during the Nagaur  jubilee. Also, the Khimsar Fort and the Beach Drift  townlets are prominent  sightseer  lodestones here.Perched on the edge of the great Thar Desert in the heart of  pastoral India, the unique  stronghold at Khimsar offers a wide range of services.
