"Royal Town of Klang"

Klang Tourism

Welcome to the enchanting world of Klang, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Malaysia. Klang Tourism is your passport to a diverse cultural experience, rich history, and vibrant modernity. From historical landmarks to bustling markets, our city has something for everyone. Immerse yourself in the unique blend of tradition and progress that defines Klang.

The quarter of Klang was indeed before Malacca and was part of the social Sri Vijaya and Majapahit governments. The name began from the Mon-Khmer language ‘ klong ’ which meant storehouse. Klang became important only after the decline of Kuala Selangor following the death of Sultan Muhammad in 1857. In 1875, Klang was chosen as the capital megacity of Selangor but was replaced by Kuala Lumpur in 1880.

While you take a perambulation along the pre-war structures in Klang that were erected in the 1920s, make a stop at the Royal Gallery. Dedicated to the late Sultan Abdul Aziz, the gallery highlights the heritage of the Selangor Sultanate, which began in 1977 with the Bugis Sulawesi royal family.

When you drive around the megacity, do n’t forget to marvel at the intricacies of the Alam Shah Palace, the Sultan Suleiman Royal Synagogue, and the Indian Muslim Tengku Kelana Synagogue. All three have become important milestones of the megacity for their design and interesting literal background.

Officially known as the Royal Town of Klang, it's the former capital of the state of Selangor, Malaysia. It may not be one of the most beautiful metropolises in Malaysia, but Klang has a unique old-world charm. Known for its rich heritage spots and social armature, it's a megacity with palaces, synagogues, and other structures that associate themselves with the Selangor sultanate.

Located 45 km from Kuala Lumpur, Klang is a popular day trip for most excursionists. The various cities are located between Klang City and Harborage ( Pelabuhan Klang) and are small enough to explore on foot. The Klang River flows through the city and divides it into South Klang and North Klang.

Designed to be an eco-smart city, Klang is also an education mecca. Entertainment and conditioning in Klang take the form of sightseeing, shopping, and playhouses. There are several shopping promenades there, especially in South Klang. Istana Alam Shah, the royal hearthstone of the Sultan of Selangor, the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, and Tugu Keris are some of the notable places in Klang that are worth a visit.

The various royal cities of Klang are popular for Malay, Indian, and Chinese cuisine and seafood delicacies. Emporium Makan, an old spot positioned in the heart of the megacity, is the most significant spot in Klang for Malay cookery. Deficient without Indian cookery, several Indian cafés are located in Little India. Klang is known for its Bak Kut Teh, a non-halal herbal haze, while the littoral region near Port Klang is well-known for its seafood.

Klang is also home to a variety of shopping centres, so you can plan an evening out with some musketeers to catch up over a mug of coffee. However, do n’t worry because one of the stylish things to do in the megacity wo n’t cost you a cent, and that's walk along the bank of Bandar Sultan Suleiman at Tanjung Harapan to enjoy the evening with your loved ones if you ’re on a budget.
