Koh Chang Tourism

Koh Chang, a hidden gem nestled in the Gulf of Thailand, is a paradisiacal haven for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. Blessed with pristine beaches, lush jungles, and a rich cultural tapestry, Koh Chang offers an unparalleled escape from the mundane. Our journey begins by delving into the heart of this tropical paradise, exploring its vibrant history, and understanding why Koh Chang stands out among Thailand's many wonders.Koh Chang, meaning "Elephant Island," is one of Thailand's largest and most popular islands, situated in the Gulf of Thailand. Known for its pristine beaches, lush jungles, and vibrant marine life, Koh Chang offers a diverse range of attractions for tourists.

Koh Chang is one of the most beautiful islets in Thailand, with pristine white beach strands and demitasse-clear waters, making it great for snorkelling and diving. There are also some breath-taking mountains and jungles where hiking is veritably popular. All in all, Koh Chang is an idyllic destination for a rambler looking for adventure and parties in equal quantities.

Also known as Elephant Island, Koh Chang is known for it's wide range of wildlife, including beautiful catcalls, snakes, deer, and, of course, enormous mammoths. Since 2000, tourism has increased, and Koh Chang has seen some rapid-fire development. It's a perfect islet flight for alpinists and trippers who want adventure and stunning escapism. Diving, snorkelling, jungle hiking, fishing, and neon parties are just a few of the activities that this island offers. Quieter than Koh Samui and Phuket, Koh Chang should surely be on your list.

Ko Chang islet, also known as'Elephant Island,' named because of its giant-shaped headland, is Thailand’s third-largest islet after Phuket and Samui. It's located around 300 kilometres east of Bangkok in Trat Province, in the Gulf of Thailand, near the Cambodian border. With an area covering roughly 212 square kilometres, 70 percent of Koh Chang is covered in rainforests, mountains, and strands. The loftiest peak on the islet is Khao Salak Phet, rising from the ground at 743 metres, and given its mountainous terrain, there's a cornucopia of falls, with the most accessible being the Klong Neung cascade, which can be set up in the south-eastern corner of the islet.

From jungle-covered mountain peaks to sweeping kudos, great falls to flourishing coral reefs, sand to luxury resorts, Koh Chang has plenitude to offer forever. Ko Chang is part of the Mu Ko Chang National Park. Despite its increase in development and tourism in the past decade or so, it has retained its remote and rugged character. Ko Chang is the biggest islet in eastern Thailand. With about 5,000 endless residents, the islet isn't heavily populated, but there's a lot of tourism and development. The islet is roughly 30 km long by 14 km wide, or 213 km2. It's part of Mu Ko Chang National Park, which covers an area of 650 km2, of which 70 percent is offshore. It's a mountainous islet, with Khao Salak Phet being the loftiest peak at 744 metres. The islet is known for its falls, coral reefs, and rainforest.

Ko Chang is one of Thailand's most beautiful islets, with long white flaxen strands that are almost deserted. The islet is also home to a wide range of wildlife, including a good selection of catcalls, snakes, deer, and a number of non-native mammoths. The islet and its vicinity are great places for snorkelling, diving, and jungle hiking. The" discovery" of the islet as a sightseer destination around the year 2000 brought on development. Prior to World War II, Ko Chang was a little-known frontier. During this period, the many families there made a living growing coconuts and fruit on the landmass. In January 1941, during the Japanese occupation, the Thai Navy fought the French in a battle in the waters to the southeast of Ko Chang.

Ko Chang remained quiet until the first rambling nonnatives started arriving on the reverse of the original fishing boats in the mid-1970s. In 1982, Ko Chang, along with the girding area, became part of the Mu Ko Chang National Marine Park. Ko Chang is a major sightseer destination for both foreign and original tourists. This unforeseen tourism smash has been fraught with controversy concerning land encroachment. The government is trying to transfigure it from an alpinist's paradise to a high-end destination. Construction is progressing far and wide, with introductory work torn down to make way for fancy resorts.
