Places To Visit In Koh Lanta
Nui Bay
Look out for the Nui Beach signpost south of Saladan. It is accessible by walking through the foliage or through Nui Beach Bar. Due to the low footfall, it is almost like having the beach all to yourself. You can also swim in certain parts in the middle of the bay where it isn’t as rocky. November-April is the perfect season to catch beautiful tropical days on this beach.
Old Town
The Old Town is located in the southeastern part of Koh Lanta and is the original capital. The eastern coast of the stunning island has more of a traditional touch and homes to Chinese, Muslims, and Sea Gypsies. Old Town is also a major port for fishing and long-tail boats for tourists.
Scuba Diving in Koh Lanta
Swim alongside mantas and barracudas while scuba diving with the help of a professional guide. Some of the most popular dive sites are Hin Muang and Hin Daeng, which have whale shark sightings and varieties of corals, schools of exotic fish, and other marine species. Beginners can opt for the fringing reef dive sites in Koh Ha, while experienced divers can go for a challenging offshore dive (the 50-metre deep dive is one of the deepest in Thailand).
