Bhadrakali Temple, Kurukshetra
Bhadrakali Temple is where Pandavas were believed to perform prayers and rituals before the final battle against Kauravas. One among the Shakti Peeths, the shrine is home to Goddess Kali and her incarnations.
Bhishma Kund
Bhishma Kund is associated with the famous legend of Mahabharata. It is where Bhishma Pitamah was laid on a bed of arrows made by Arjun for him to watch the battle. When he was thirsty and he requested for water, Arjun shot an arrow in the ground letting out a water spring to the quench Bhishma's thirst. This water body is now known as the Bhishma kund._
Bhor Saidan Crocodile Farm
Bhor Saidan Crocodile Farm was established over an area surrounding a tank full of crocodiles. In 1982, the farm was taken over by the Forest Department and the periphery was fenced. The department obtained four pairs of crocodiles from the Crocodile Bank in Madras to help balance the ecosystem. The current population of the farm is 25 and these majestic reptiles can be observed from close range from a high mound created inside the farm.
Brahma Sarovar
Brahma Sarovar, as its name suggests, is a water tank in Thanesar in Haryana. It is considered sacred by Hindus and is incredibly beautiful. It is said that the water inside the tank can help those taking a dip in it to attain salvation. It has been currently renovated and is equipped with modern state-of-the-art facilities. Brahma Sarovar is the most exquisite and breathtaking site in Kurukshetra. Tourists can spend hours here watching the sunset with its reddish and golden reflection in the water. This place is colourful and remains lively throughout which attracts visitors and make them visit multiple times. There are handicraft shops and a variety of cuisines from different states to feed on making it a must-visit place.
A beautiful temple is situated inside the water which can be reached via a concrete bridge. The religious aartis conducted here during sunrise and sunset offer an infinite sense of calm. The Bramha Sarovar also has a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva in the middle which can be accessed via a small bridge. Pilgrims and tourists visit the Brahma Sarovar in huge numbers during the Solar Eclipse.

Dharohar Museum
Dharohar Museum exhibits the rich historical, cultural, archaeological and architectural heritage of the state. It was established during the Golden Jubilee Year of the Kurukshetra University. The museum has over 23 galleries that display the rich heritage of the region through paintings, photographs, artefacts and manuscripts. The museum complex also has an open-air amphitheatre where folk performances are frequently organised.
Jyotisar
Jyotisar is associated with the legend of Mahabharata and is a sacred site in Kurukshetra. It is where Lord Krishna recited the Bhagwad Geeta under a Banyan tree to Arjun, to prepare him to fight the war against Bhishma and Karan. The tree is believed to be the same tree that still exists in the town.
Kalpana Chawla Memorial Planetarium
Kalpana Chawla Memorial Planetarium was established in the memory of Kalpana Chawla. It is based on astronomy and its study in the Indian civilization since pre-historic times. The planetarium has interesting exhibits and short films that help visitors gain knowledge and inculcate more interest about the subject in the student's minds._
Krishna Museum
Founded in 1987, Krishna Museum houses various artifacts of Lord Krishna and Krishna's incarnations from 1st Century AD to 11th Century AD. The museum housing six galleries also showcases the statues in the forms as described in the Bhagavata Purana and Mahabharata.
The exhibits in the galleries consist of exquisite woodcarvings, wooden panels, bronze casting, ivory works, palm- leaf etchings, stone sculptures, archaeological artifacts and miniature paintings. There is also a tableaux made from Papier-mache and clay, based on Bhagavata and Mahabharata.
