Places To Visit In Los Angeles
Millard Falls
Located at the end of a short and scenic trail atop one of San Gabriel Mountains’ most pleasant canyons, Millard Falls is a tremendous sight with chunky hanging boulders boxing the unique cascade. Owing to its flat terrain, Millard Falls hike is one of the easiest in Pasadena, ideal for families.
Millard Falls’ most distinguished feature is the split, Y-shaped flow which tumbles onto the rock bed afront to create a great spot in the middle for clicking photos. At the foot of the falls, you can sit and admire the surrounding lofty mountains and vertical granite rock walls. The Chaney trail is interspersed with smooth rocks and rugged hoppings that call for a few jumps over the dipping Millard Creek. Californian bay trees line the narrow canyon as it meanders past campsites with fire rings, picnic tables and RVs. If you choose to hike along the Mt Lowe Trail, a longer option that leads to Millard Falls, you can capture a more unusually stunning, elevated view of the waterfall. This trail skirts the canyon rim and is a more adventurous path where many rock climbers can be seen year round. From here, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Los Angeles city and skyline.
