Aasaari Miskiiy
On the island of Nilandho stands second oldest mosque of the Maldives, which is rumoured to have been constructed by the founders of the country. The mosque was built from the ruins of the Hindu Temples in the 12th Century and has Arabic scriptures chiselled on the walls. An excellent place for history enthusiasts and for people who have an eye for architecture.
Addu City
The second-largest urban area of Maldives, the city consists of inhabited islands and is situated in the southernmost atoll of the archipelago. Apart from Male- the capital, only Addu city holds the urban ‘city’ title in the country.
Ali Rasgefaanu Ziyaaraiy
The tomb site of Ali Rasgefaanu Ziyaaraiy, who is also popularly known as King Ali VI. The tomb unravels the heart wrenching and gritty tale of Ali Rasgefaanu, who for his exceptional National service, will always hold a special place in the heart of the locals in the Maldives. It was after his execution in the 16th Century that Portuguese rule got instituted in the country.
Alimatha
Alimatha is one of the most popular islands of the Maldives that excites the tourists with its unmatched greenery and clear waters. It is located atop Vaavu Atoll, about 40 miles off the nearest international airport. It is also a recognized SCUBA diving spot of International acclaim. Artificial Beach
Artificial Beach, Male is one of the most beautiful and only man-made beaches in the Maldives. At first glance, the beach does not appear to be an artificial one at all. In fact, even though the water is not as deep as is on the natural beaches, it is a famed swimming spot for the locals and visitors alike. There are plenty of lounging areas, cafes and barbecues at the beach along with a volleyball court and a futsal turf pitch on Artificial Beach. In addition to being a haven for foodies and beach lovers, Artificial Beach in Male is also ideal for spending lovely, serene evenings. Long walks on the beach while taking in the picturesque sunset is an absolute must.

Banana Reef
Banana Reef is one of the world's most popular dive sites which is located in Maldives. It is also one of the oldest reefs discovered in the Maldives and is adorned with stunning caves, majestic cliffs, beautiful coral growths and powerful overhangs. Banana Reef is also populated by sharks, barracudas, and groupers. The calm and friendly currents coupled with great visibility prove to work really well for first-time divers, learners and novices to get their feet wet with. It is also quite a convenient option for expert and experienced divers because it allows them to go deeper and explore the vivid world beneath the surface of the waters better.
The range of the dive at Banana Reef is quite wide - starts at 5 meters underwater and goes as deep as 30 meters underwater! Visibility remains immaculate in these clear waters up to 30 meters, and the water is quite accommodating too, ranging between a warm and comforting 24 degrees Celsius and 29 degrees Celsius. You can go scuba diving in these magical waters or even try snorkelling by the northern end of the reef. It is best to get here early in the morning, by 9:00 AM to avoid the heat. The session is about 30 mins long- a 30-minute window to experience paradise. You should take about 3-4 hours to finish the whole activity, including travel time. The Banana Reef is accessible by speed boats which can be hired from the coast.

Bandaara Kilhi
Translating to ‘State Lake’, Bandaara Kilhi is one of two fresh water lakes in Fuvahmulah Island. With an average depth of 12 feet and an area of around 0.5 square kilometres, the lake is actually one of the largest in the Maldives. Not only are the waters here crystal clear, but the bottom of the lake is formed by decayed corals that are enticing to see. Completing the perfect scenery are beautiful vegetation like banana trees, coconut palms, mango trees, and fern surrounding the lake.
Due to the muddy shores and depth of the water, Bandaara Kilhi Lake is not ideal for swimming, but the recently-built jetty and observation deck make it accessible for sightseeing. It’s also a popular spot amongst bird-watchers for unique, indigenous species like the Maldivian white-breasted waterhen and the common moorhen. There’s also a lakeside restaurant where you can grab a bite and enjoy the day. There is no entry fee to visit Bandaara Kilhi Lake and it is open all hours of the day, but it’s best to visit during sunset for an amazing view.
