Tourist Permit

• Only for taxis and vehicles going to Rohtang Pass for tourism purposes, valid for a day.
• Only 800 petrol vehicles and 400 diesel vehicles are allowed entry to the pass daily.
• The vehicles aren't allowed on Tuesday, as Rohtang Pass is closed for maintenance each Tuesday. 

Permit Time Frame:

• 10:00 AM (200 Diesel and 400 Petrol)
• 4:00 PM (200 Diesel and 400 Petrol)

Documents Required for Tourist Permit (In Printed Form):

• Valid ID Proof
• Pollution Under Check (PUC) Certificate
• Vehicle Registration Date

Permit Fees:

• Car & Jeep - INR 500 + INR 50 as congestion charge
• MUVs - INR 500 + INR 50 as congestion charge
• Buses & HMV - INR 500 + INR 100 as congestion charge

Special Permit

• Only for private vehicles, valid for a day. 
• Only 60 petrol vehicles and 40 diesel vehicles are allowed entry to the pass daily.
• The vehicles aren't allowed on Tuesday, as Rohtang Pass is closed for maintenance each Tuesday. 

Documents Required for Special Permit (In Printed Form):

• Valid ID Proof
• Pollution Under Check (PUC) Certificate
• Vehicle Registration Date
• Proof of Hotel Booking

Permit Fees:
