Harinder Mountain
The town of Manikaran is surrounded by the snow-capped mountains of the Harinder Mountains in the north. The view of the town from the cliff of these mountains is also breathtaking. Since Manikaran is located on the banks of river Parvati, looking at the river from the top is also a good view.
Manikaran Hot Springs
Manikaran has hot springs that contain Uranium and other radioactive elements and is believed to cure diseases. The water in these is extremely hot, so much so, that one can even boil rice in these. At the same time, these hot springs are believed to be holy by tourists and pilgrims and are hence popular in this region.
According to Sikhs, it is believed that Guru Nanak Devji visited Manikaran in 16th century AD and during his visit, he wished to cook food for hungry and the needy, but there was no fire source. Hence, he prayed to God, and the spring was turned into a hot spring. However, according to Hinduism, it is believed that Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati spent around 1100 years here. During their stay, Goddess Parvati lost some precious stones in water, and when others were not able to find them, Lord Shiva became very angry and opened his third eye to destruct everything. It was then that Sheshnag (the serpent god) tried to pacify him, and he hissed giving birth to boiling water, resulting in finding the precious stones.

Kulant Pith
The Kulant Pith is said to be the most sacred and superior of all the piths in India. It is believed that Lord Shankar stayed here for some time too, highly impressed by the place. Lord Shiva's stay marks the purity of the place. Vishnu Kund is believed to be the purest of all the kunds and a dip into this is believed to wash away all your sins. Also, locals believe that this place takes away all the anger and evil of the individuals dipping into it.
It is also believed that a dip into the Vishnu Kund here, considered one of the purest kunds, can relieve one of all their sins. Another belief is that having food boiled in the water here can take one to Vishnu Lok. Other than this, it is also said that the place can also relieve one of their anger and evils.

Lord Ramachandra Temple
Built in the 17th century by Raja Jagat Singh, the temple is a very popular religious centre in the area. The legend behind the temple says that Lord Ram himself brought it from Ayodhya. The Lord Ramachandra Temple is also famous for its glorious idols of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. It is located in the center of the city having 3 halls and 40 rooms for the devotees who visiting. Langar is organized for each and every devotee.
Shiv Temple Manikaran
A highly revered temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, this place attracts a huge number of tourists and pilgrims throughout the year. The temple, completely made in the name of Lord Shiva got slightly damaged and tilted due to an earthquake in 1905. It is said that devtas of Kullu pay regular visits to this temple.
Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara
Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara, nestled in the Parvati Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India, holds great religious significance for Sikhs and Hindus alike. The gurudwara is renowned for its picturesque location on the banks of the Parvati River, surrounded by towering mountains. According to Sikh tradition, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism, visited this sacred site in the 16th century.
The legend goes that when Guru Nanak Dev Ji meditated by the river, his followers were concerned about the lack of fire for cooking. In response, he asked them to lift a stone, and to their surprise, a hot spring emerged, providing an abundance of boiling water. This event is believed to have marked the divine nature of Manikaran, and today, pilgrims visit the gurudwara to take a dip in the hot springs, considered to have healing properties.
