A contemporary art museum situated on Miami Beach, The Bass first opened its doors in 1964 in the building that was formerly the Miami Beach Public Library and features a private collection of its donors, John and Johanna Bass, hence earning it its name. Since then the collection of the museum only grew and it currently houses a wide collection of artwork from famous artists from all over the world.
