Zoo Miami
The Zoo Miami, also known as The Miami-Dade Zoological Park and Gardens, covers around 750 acres of land and is the fifth largest zoo in the United States and the largest in entire Florida; they take a lot of care and put in a lot of effort to make the environment of the zoo as similar to the original environment of the species’ habitat. There are around 500 different species of animals including birds, mammals, amphibians, and reptiles, and 1000 different species of trees in the zoo.
There are amphibians like the blue poison dart frog, giant waxy monkey frog, etc, birds like the American flamingo, bald eagle, etc, mammals like the alpaca, Bactrian camel, etc, and reptiles like the crocodile monitor, caiman lizard, etc. There are also a number of activities that you can engage in like art, exhibitions, feeding, and encounters, there is tortoise encounter, open on Wednesdays and Sundays from 11 am to 2 pm for $15, giraffe feeding, open from 11 am to 4 pm for $5 per feed, camel feeding opens for 30 minutes at 12 pm, 2 pm and 3:30 pm, rhino feeding, opens for 30 minutes at 2:30 pm for $5 per feed, and parrot feeding, open from 11 am to 4 pm for $3 per feed. There are other activities like presentations from 11 am to 3 pm, there are rides like the monorail, Lostman’s river ride, safari tram tours, wildlife carousel, and pedal boats. Your kids will be able to find something interesting for themselves at the kid’s zone which has a playground, waterplay area, and splash pads. You can also meet the characters of the zoo like Gigi the giraffe, Kaz the rhino, Pio the red-billed oxpecker, and Ellie the croc.

Zoological Wildlife Foundation
Zoological Wildlife Foundation is an organization co-founded by Mario Tabraue and MariaTabraue, which is a zoo, preservation, and conservation unit. It aims to spread awareness about the preservation of the wildlife. Founded in 2001 towards the south of Miami, Zoological Wildlife Foundation arranges encounters with the rare and endangered animals, people can also contribute to the organization and also help some by adopting them. Inside the park resides a variety of species, including birds, mammals, primates, etc like African Crested Porcupine, American Alligator, Amur Leopard, Asian Small Clawed Otter, Brown Pelican, and many more.
