Adamas World War Two Bomb Shelter
The Adamas World War Two Bomb Shelter is an old German bomb shelter tunnel with 12 chambers located in Adamas port on Milos Island. The bomb shelter is now an art gallery showcasing modern Greek art and war history, including photographs, multimedia exhibits, refuge testimonials, and accounts.
The dimly lit bomb shelter serves as a testimonial of the war. Milos was a German base during the world war two occupation of Crete. Tunnels and passages such as the Adamas tunnel were constructed throughout the island for food and ammunition storage and protection from British air attacks. The church of Holy Trinity and Milos Mining Museum are located nearby.

Agia Kiriaki Beach
Agia Kiriaki Beach is a sandy beach in Milos with a long coastline and a beautiful white pebbled shoreline. It is located on the south coast of Milos, 9 km from the Adamas port. Alogomandra Beach
Alogomandra beach is one of the most secluded beaches on the north coast of Milos Island, located near the village of Agios Konstantinos. The small beach has golden sand and emerald-blue water. What makes this beach unique is its naturally formed hove-like rock formation. The shallow waters make it a great family-friendly beach for swimming and snorkelling.
Catacombs of Milos
The Catacombs of Milos are one of the oldest archaeological sites in Milos. The caves served as family burial chambers and Christian cemeteries in the Roman Era. It is located near the Tripiti village on Milos Island. There are three catacombs interconnected via corridors and a hallway. Only the second catacomb, the chamber of elders, is open to visitors.
Take a short hike from the mainland for a guided tour of the chambers, which lasts about 15 minutes. The Catacombs are estimated to have been constructed sometime between the late first and early second centuries. The underground space, constructed in the shape of a maze to shield the Christian site from Roman persecution, also served as a place of worship. Around Three hundred engraved graves are in the vaults within the catacombs. The Venetian Castle of Milos, the Ancient theatre of Milos, and Klima village are popular attractions near the Catacombs.

Fyriplaka Beach
Fyriplaka Beach is the second most popular beach on Milos Island. It is located on the southern coastline, 11 km from Adamas Port. The highlight of the beach is a rock that detached from the original cliff formation and now stands in the waters. The rock is naturally cut into two halves.
The beach has shallow waters and all the basic facilities, such as a beach bar, chairs, umbrellas, changing rooms, and more. The beach is accessible through the road and by boat. Enjoy a swim through the two halves of the rock or snorkel in the clear turquoise waters. The Tsigrado beach, located within walking distance, is a more secluded option.

Gerakas Beach
Gerakas Beach is one of the more secluded bays of Milos located on the southern coast of the island, 3 km from Frylipaka beach. The remote beach is surrounded by white volcanic cliffs and mesmerising emerald-green waters. Natural sand slides exist between the cliffs. Small and large caves are located across the beach and even underwater, making it a great snorkelling point. The beach is only accessible by boat.
Gerakas beach is a popular spot on many Milos boat tours. Tourists can also opt for a kayaking tour starting from Frylipaka beach.

Kimolos Island
Kimolos Island is a neighbouring island located about 1 km away from Milos via a ferry. Chorio traditional village is the main town centre on the island, lined with Greecian whitewashed houses with blue doors built in Cycladic architecture. Kimolos island is home to some of the most picturesque syrmatas and sandy beaches, and a 14th-century Venetian castle in Chorio is a must-visit.
The Archaeological Museum of Kimolos and the Folklore and Maritime Museum are two museums displaying the ancient life and history of Kimolos. Enjoy a short hike to Skiadi, a mushroom-shaped natural monument on Sklavos Hill. Visit the famous Kimolos Windmills on Mount Xaplovouni. It is also home to several Post Byzantine churches. Several restaurants and hotels are located across the island.

Kleftiko Caves
Kleftiko caves are on the Kleftiko beach, located on the southern coast of Milos Island. The beach is filled with caves and tunnels carved into the vertical cliffs through centuries of erosion. The crystal clear waters and the towering bone-white cliffs make it a mesmerising site. Unlike other beaches, the Kleftiko caves are only accessible via boat. Enjoy swimming or snorkelling in the bay area.

Klima
Klima is a picturesque seaside fishing village close to Plaka town and a 15-minute ride from Adamas port. The village has a vibrant lane filled with colourful two-story houses built in the traditional style locally known as Syrmatas or Sirma. The main attractions are Klima Beach, a short and cosy beach with a seafront restaurant.
These boathouses are whitewashed with multi-coloured door and balcony accents, making them one of the most scenic spots on the island. Most houses now serve as guest accommodations, souvenir shops, and eateries. The village is accessible via a hike down the hill to the main waterfront. Agios Dimitrios and Holy Friday are two beautiful churches in Klima. Klima village is downhill from the ancient capital of Melos and was a significant part of the prominent sea trade in the past. The village settlement dates back to 1100 bc. The Catacombs and the Ancient theatre of Milos are a 10-minute drive from Klima.

Milos Mining Museum
The Milos Mining Museum was built to preserve the rich history of mining on Milos Island, dating back to 7000 BC. It is located at Adamas Port. It has three floors and a museum shop for souvenirs. A collection of ancient artefacts made from territorial rocks is also on display. The museum is a must-visit for geology and mining enthusiasts.
The ground floor holds exhibits displaying mining photographs, paintings, maps, and instruments. The first floor is dedicated to samples of various fossils, rocks, and minerals found on Milos Island, such as sulphur, manganese, and millstones, to name a few. The museum was constructed in 1198 and has two basement rooms for multimedia presentations and programs. The Abandoned sulphur mining site on Thiorichia Beach is located close. It is a must-visit for a first-hand view of Milos’s mining history.
